FAQ
Q1. How much will I get for my vehicle?
A1. The price depends on the age of the vehicle and the make and model. The general rule is the bigger the car the more you will recieve. We do not charge any fees for removal, so there will be no deductions on the price offered.
Q2. I cant find my log book (V5c document) can you still remove my car?
A2. Yes, in many cases people cannot find there log book (V5c document). After removal of your car you will be left with a receipt to confirm we have removed your vehicle. You will need to contact the DVLA to tell then the car has been destroyed. A quick phone call or a letter in the post will suffice.
Q3. What is a log book/ V5c document???
A3. This is the document which shows the registered keeper as well as the vehicle details. The newer style document is a 4 page book, with a Blue and Green front and V5c in the top right corner. Older style documents are a single sheet with a blue main part and a Green and Red lower part.
Q4. I have the log book (V5c document) what parts do I keep or fill out???
A4. We will take ownership of your vehicle as a vehicle trader. This means on a V5c document we will fill out the yellow slip with our details, sign it and return it to you. This must then be posted to the DVLA. We will take the rest of the document. On older documents it is the Red part which we fill out and return to you.
Q5. I have heard that when I scrap my vehicle I will get a Certificate Of Destruction (COD). Do you provide me with this??
A5. No, when we remove the car we take ownership of the vehicle, so we receive the certificate for our records.
Q6. Can you remove vans and 4x4’s?
A6. Yes, we can remove any vehicle running or not complete or not!
